My sled is acting up with the pcIII installed. Its does not always want to start and sometimes it goes lean on the bar. At 90% throttle my afr is perfect but at 100% throttle it sometimes goes lean, but not all the time
As soon as I unplug it the machine starts perfect, but I run to lean becasue of my mods.

I figured out its not getting enough fuel. I can trigger my fuel solenoid (holtzman nitrous kit) and the machine will fire.
I got into alot of powder and barried the machine a few times, could that affect the unit. I brought the unit in the house to get rid of possible moisture.

I bought the pcIII because I was having problems with my RB3. I did not want the machine down while I got the RB3 fixed. More problems
The price was too good. I have to stop buying things second hand.

Do you have the disk to load the PCIII software? At idle is the throttle position reading 0? At wide open is your throttle position reading 100?

I got a disk with the unit.
When I loaded the map I remember seeing the throttle position. I think it was at zero at idle.
I'll double check that in the morning.

Stupid question...is the map already loaded when we buy it from your or do we have to load it off the disk? Guess I assumed that all I had to do was plug it into my sled. I'm not one for reading directions.

Thanks John

I'm heading out to calibrate my throttle position. I did not do this when I loaded my tune.
When I open the throttle 100% can I just pin it for a second. I can't bring my computer out on the sled so I was going to do it on my stand.

Will this help my starting problem too or just my on the bar lean condition.

thanks

Check your grounding wire.. I have suffered from similar problems and it was a loose wire.

The ground wire is tight to the battery. I'm almost suspecting a broken wire in the harness.

I had a hard time getting the pc3 to communicate. It only linked once. I tried to calibrate it but I'm not sure if something went wrong. I zeroed it at idle. Then pinned it for a quick second and pressed OK.
It said something about minumum value and press ok if you want to continue. After I did that the machine did not want to idle and it stalled out.
I only got it started once after that and it would not communicate.

But if I unplugged the usb and the screen read NO POWER COMMANDER. I'd plug the usb back in and it would read not communicating.
I could load a map but not send a map with out it saying error sending map.

The macine starts perfect when the pc3 is unplugged

I'm left scratching my head right now.
I think I need to send it in to be check-out
