I have a couple questions regarding the use of a sled lift on an Apex and RX1. Where exactly are the lift points? Pictures I have seen look like the front support may interfere with oil changing? Is the rear support the running boards?
Any help appreciated.

it will not interfer with the oil change, you just have to remove the side panels first and the belly protector if you have one.
FYI for anyone in Canada looking to buy one of those lift. those are on sale for $169.99 with the wheels thru Princess Auto.

I also put soft pine strips between the back lift legs and the heat exchangers.
Thanks for the tips

I do the same thing with the wood. It also helps keep it level.

I have one from Eazy move carts..good customer service.
I agree with the posters above about positioning it.
The rear arms do ride on the running board coolers.
I've used it many many times and have no issues.

I'm Canadian so I used 2 hockey pucks on each side for the rear to cushion it on the running board/exchanger. Pine works great as well but sometimes the wood splits when your drilling thru it. i just recessed the bolt heads so that it doesn't make any contact with the running board

That's a great idea, and lord knows I have a few of those laying around lol.
Curious, how may guys start their sleds on their lifts?
I did yesterday for the first time and it seemed to work good.
I was nervous of doing this previously, but I didn't want to go through the hassle yesterday of lowering the sled etc, so I gave it a try.

I was surprised how little mine moved when I started it and spun the track.
I was afraid the rear might move enough to jar those uprights loose that go under the heat exchangers.
It's not something I plan on doing all the time, but it is noce knowing I can without worry.
