Was having issues with the sled after wot but have put a BOV on to release the preasure.
Now when the sled is warming up and for the first ten minutes it runs great
After that it starts to rev very thick.... Like it's flooded or choked. It will run for 60 feet and as soon as I let off it will die......
once it sits I can re start it and it will idle better
Until I sit on it then it runs rough... And if I shake the sled it dies.....
sounds possessed.
Any ideas because I'm stuck....thinking carbs but I hope note their a pain to take off
In a non heated garage but if that's the problem I'll do it.
First thing I'll do is try new plugs..... But I have my doubts.

Ok... I'll answer myself... Such a Freudian moment but what the hell I'm old.
The BOV wasn't opening because the spring was too stiff to allow the valve to open under ten lbs boost once vacuum was established at the top of the valve.
so I cut 4 links off the spring and presto... All good.
My wife suggested that after so many wot pulls flooding the carbs that
I may have pooched my plugs
So new plugs, set gap at 18 and it pulls hard as ever but with that fantastic woooosh sound.
Note to self....if this happens again read the comment above..... Or ask wife!

Most of them are smarter than we are but never tell them that.

It happened again.... Dropped the boost down to 8 and that helped...but what does that mean....didn't fix the problem but it did help some
