Has anyone used Sledbrite to polish their tunnel? How were the results? I used mothers products last year, just looking for more of a shine.

Are you talking about the spray on aluminum cleaner or do they now make a polish? I have used the spray on cleaner and it does shine the aluminum up a bit, but it is not as consistant and as shiney as if you polish the aluminum. G.B.

I got sucked in while at a snow show. The stuff really doesn't work anywhere near what a quick polish with mothers can do.
Not worth the $12.00 a bottle or whatever they con u out of, lol!

The little bottle of the greenish liquid is awesome! I use it all the time, and it's better than most if not all dozens of other kinds I have on teh shelf in the shop. A quarter sized spot on a microfiber towel does most of one side of my tunnel(s) and it doesn't take much effort!
Now I also have the aluminum spray, and used it once. It'll turn your aluminum white, so I havent used it since. Maybe to clean some heavily corroded stuff, or parts that don't have to be show worthy? It did a good job cleaning, I think it's just a little too acidic for me.

They do sell a polish now, like Nate said it's a small bottle of greenish liquid. I also saw that they sell a polishing ball that looks to be a lot stronger than the mothers ball.
I saw this product at the snow show last fall and was thinking of giving it a try this summer to see how it worked. from the sound of it I maybe better off using a different deoxidizer though.

Been a big fan of their products for a log time now. I use many of them on my sled with great success. Environmentally friendly too.
To clarify the aluminum cleaner is not meant to give you a polished look. It is for "removing oxidation, discoloration, salt and corrosion from snowmobile tunnels and aluminum components on your sled, trailer and vehicles." It usually does turn it a shade of white so that is why you follow it with the polish. The polish they sell does give you that mirror finish and works very well and as long as the tunnel is not heavily oxidized just the polish will do the trick.
