I am starting my skid overhaul and need new wheels and am thinking of going with Sly Dog's (to match the skies i ordered).

Just wondering if anyone has used them or has any info I should know about before I get them.

Thanks

I always wondered how well they hold up, without the rubber around them.

Just over 2000miles last year and mine still look like new,the bearings are all junk though.

I've got about 2500 miles on mine (just the two inner ones) without a single problem. I re-grease the bearings every fall and the only thing to happen so far is a few rock dings.

Maim has some on the rear axle of his Warrior. Maybe I'll PM him......

hi.

i have them on my sled as crewcheif said.

i love them. i do not run studs and they are really worth the money in my book. i have 6 on my sled. the 4 front ones suck snow dust into your slides and the rear ones push it out. really saves on slide wear. i have run them 2 full seasons and have not had to replace a bearing yet. my brother (kirkswims) just had my track out in feb/march and checked all of it with the tec class he was teaching and told me all was still good and ready to go. before i ran them, i could never keep enough snow on the rails to keep me happy when trail running. now it usually looks like i was always off trail with it as the rails are usually loaded with snow.

knee surgery in feb cut my riding a bit short last year but i still say they are worth it.

here is the best pic i have of them on my sled. pic is from feb 09 temiscamang run with crewcheif and crew. was a very cold day.

Love the PINK ;):D

I have over 2000 miles on a set and they still look great. But the ones I put on the inside only lasted a few hundred miles until they were totally shot. I was running studs, but I also ran some pretty nasty trails at the beginning of the season, hit a lot of rocks, and other nasty stuff. Not sure I can blame the wheels, might have been the conditions, not sure. I wouldn't put them on the inside again.

I have the new style ones on my sled.. WOrking great soo far..

Used them last year.. they were weaker and didtn hold up as well.. the new ones have bigger bearings and are beefier

I have had the wheels on two sleds now, Apex and Nytro. They have held up well for me, both of my sleds have been modified with NOS and Turbo. The one thing I like about these wheels is they really do help with slider wear compared to the stock bogies..

actually, the muffs are red. they are covered with frost as it was -25c as a high that day. i think it was -35c that night on the ride back. all i remeber was it was frickin cold and without the loan of those muffs, i would have had frostbite on my hands.
