I just received my Slydog powderhound skis's and was wondering the
proper direction for the rubber ski mounts. They came with the taller
part of the rubber facing forward. I think they would probally work
better with the taller par facing the rear of the skis, this would tilit
the skis up a bit a the front to help Prevent darting.

I am sure trail,Race and powderhounds are all the same, so if
someone can tell me how they installed there's it would be appreciated

On the FX Nytro XTX I actually tried them with the tall side of the rubber to the rear and so far it has been working great. This is also the first time I have set the skis at pretty much the "neutral" position or "0" toe in or toe out. Running with 8" carbide & Bergstrom 3/8" ski savers on this particular sled.

Yup, I talked to Ulmer about this and changed mine to tall rubber in the rear and it seems to be better, now I just have to re adjust my toe to 0

i have the race skis and have mine with the tall rubber to the rear, and they work great

Thanks guys for your response :rocks:
I also have the toe set to about 1/16th toe out( I was aiming for neutral, close enough for now).

Do you guys recomend these ski's or is the carbide that is making the difference. I boondock 75% and trail ride 25%. What do you guys recomend?

I have no miles on the sled, due to snow condition's, but my reason for installing them is primarly for improved off trail riding(greater Floatation).
I had a 2008 fx Nytro last year with stock skis, and I felt off trail, the skis were limiting th sleds potential. I also ride about 75% off trail when conditions allow it.
