09 nytro xtx, 8 inch slydog powederhounds, mbrp silencer, ulmer racing clutching, fast track studs,cr10ek sparkplugs,
who's running the slydog 7inch powder hounds on the trails in michigan?i ride 75% trail but boondock also,i was wondering if the dartin is gone and can these rail in the trails being that they are made for the powder.i have a nytro xtx with studs, any infor would be great

I'm using these now. Great ski. Probably could find a stiffer trail ski, but like you mentioned when you get off trail you really notice how great these are. The front of the sled actually stays floating, not tanking down like the stock skis did. Don't get me wrong, these ski's are great on the trail as well. You WILL notice a big difference, and IMO it's for the better. Hope this helps...

I had the 7" on My Renegade and loved them on & off trail. I have the 8" on my MTX and love them as much as the 7". The only thing I noticed when riding in Mich on the trail is the keel is so deep it finds the rocks at the bottom of the trail. :4STroke:

thanks for the info guy's.i have a set of 8inch on the way

Just wondering what parts from the stock skis are re-used with the powder hounds? Ski bolt, bushings, spacers, etc.

that's awesome news clatla! I just priced out the bolt and spacers from port since mine are getting pretty rough, they were almost $100 for both skis!

what doesn't come with the skis are the bushings that are pressed into the spindle, and those are what is shot on my sled.

Not sure if you saw, but Ulmer has those now for $35 for the kit, and $25 with another bushing kit.
