I was wonder how many of you that ordered, or are thinking of ordering the new Viper rode an arctic cat sno pro chassis, or went on the test ride from yamaha? If you rode it, what was your opinion? Is it as lazy and easy as a Doo 1200, or somewhere between that and the nytro for an active ride? The engine and clutch yes are proven by a lot of us from the nytro, and similar on the vector. I'm sure there are some who are buying it because its cool looking, lighter, great motor, and its the newest rider forward. I'm more interested in hearing in those who have had a chance to actually ride this chassis and their opinions on cornering, stance, bump riding, and cruising. Being it has the yamaha name, it is not cheap as usual. Especially compared to the Doo, and the cat sister model. So before I start thinking about future projects I thought I would ask opinions on ride, fit and finish. I wanted to wait till the apex replacement came out for more hp, but I don't see that for two years. I also have my nytro just about perfect for the trail now, and don't want to upgrade till I can actually ride a new model some way some how.

It is one of the best handling sleds I've been on in a long time , stays flat in corners very lite steering feel took the bumps very well the seating is great I just can't say enough good things about it . I'm goi g to say it and I'm sure a lot of people will jump on me But, I think it's the best handling Yamaha there is to date I would say it ranks right there with the Ski Doo

And yes I do have an apex to and it ride better than that. Can't wait for winter ;)!

Yep, agree and I also have both the Nytro and Apex. Can't wait to see if any thing different from the proto types!

Well said 09nytro I agree with everything you said, I bought the ltx se blue loved the way it road, cain't wait to get mine.

I rode a buddy's of mine 2012 1100 non-turbo cat Sno Pro last season.
Rode it through some tight twisties and pretty rough trails.

The ergonomics on the sled were great. Easy steering. Took the bumps great.
The sled felt lighter then my Nytro.

The engine was enimic though. But for sled handling and ergo's it was great.

Anxious to get my Viper.

I just re-subscribed to Dynotech. I am anxious to see what the real world horespower numbers
are on the Viper. And how they compare to the Nytro's.

I rode the Vipers for 3 days straight, all the models and can say they are inbetween the Nytro and the Apex for seating position and the handling and ride made me order one. I am getting the XTX with the un-coupled suspension.
