Everyone;

I have just enjoyed a 3 day RAP Tour (North Bay-North Bay, Feb 21-23). We did 794 km, 350 alone on the second day (Deep River to Dwight). You must add this to the bucket list! Conditions were amazing, new snow every day and this 60 year old body wasn't destroyed.

I have stock Yamaha skis and the current carbides are finished especially with all the roads we needed to travel on the tour.

In any case I am sufficiently, and recently experienced enough to ask again about Sno Trackers, (and it's been 2 months since the last round of opinions). Basically I want to be ready to deal now or in the summer, and want to know if I need the Aggressive or Semi Aggressive versions for my RS Venture. Leaning to the Aggressive, but want hear any updated opinions..

Trail notes: We did a lot of adjustments along the way and really want to thank all the terrific insights from this forum. It made a huge difference. I do NOT want to thank the gentleman who let me drive his power steering APEX...........holy crap, it was amazing! I can see 'needing one' down the road. Interestingly , the Apex owner said a pinched nerve in his neck made sledding impossible, but the power steering made it possible. Nice story.

Go with the aggressive snowtrackers. I'm just finishing my third season with mine, about 12,000 km's on them. Not all easy snow running either. The whole of the snowtrackers just wear down, not just the carbide. Mine once were aggressive are now shorter than the semi-aggressive. Will put new ones on for next season. Best money I have ever spent on a snowmobile upgrade.

I just put the aggressive ones on my apex and I would never use anything else after 600 miles basically no wear and a while new sled, zero darting and it corners unreal in all kinds of snow conditions, but especially on hard packed and even crossing roads or turning on pavement (gas stations etc) it really helps.

Boys. Great feedback, much appreciated.

FYI my venture GT is studded which probably makes it even more important to go aggressive.

Repeat: Everyone, including our USA friends should do the RAP tour. It was terrific.

Thanks.

I have the aggressive on my Venture GT, but no studs. However, given the 144 track, I think aggressive is the way to go. They take a bit of getting used to at first but not long.
