I am just about done the break in of my new xtx. Loving the sled so far! The power is awesome, a few things I will change along the way, but my biggesr annoyance so far is the snow hitting me... I know its snowmobiling, its what I signed up for. Riding on the weekend in mild wet snow conditions my back was soaked, helmet soaked, and balaclava soaked, from what felt like snow balls hitting me on every turn. Solutions? Its a 141 xtx.

Yeah......grass and dirt here...I'd trade that for a lap full of snow right about now...

The problem I’m experiencing with the Sidewinders this winter, my first on them, is when I go off trail, I go deep. Bad bad bad. Slush was also an issue for a while on the lakes up here, so much weight from the snow pushing the ice down. The slush beds have pretty much frozen up for now.

The combination bags stop it too if you’re looking for extra storage

I had to put the flares on my Viper, and when I ordered my Winder, it didn’t leave the dealer until the flares were on.

My first trip out on the winder this weekend with a rare freak 17" snow storm and yeah this was annoying as heck. The seat was soaked, my butt down to the boxers, and I am supposed to have 'waterproof' gear. These fix most of this issue?

yes I have them on my winder and never have snow on my back/seat wish I had them for my ape.
I put the tunnel flares on and they do fix the issue. I'm surprised they don't come installed from the factory .My first trip out on the winder this weekend with a rare freak 17" snow storm and yeah this was annoying as heck.
