We have 4 sleds with your set-up.....I shimmed the my nitro & wife's vector but, not father in-laws or mother in-laws he didn't want them done. I prefer them shimmed, father in-law doesn't..... try it out and see which you like. I used a pc of hard rubber 1/4" thick and 1" wide full width of the factory ski rubber.
cheers

You shimmed them in the back part?

No shim's period! Shimming the rear to lift the front of the ski compleatly defeats there design! The front of the ski needs to stay in the snow for the defuser to do its job and they steer easier that way! The snow trackers do tend to make the ski sit higher in the front when on a hard surface but flatten out when in snow.

Yes, the rear of the ski appears to sit much lower than the front with the SnowTrackers. Shimming the rear would cause the front of the ski to sit even higher. Possibly shimming the front would lower the front of the ski, but not sure how this geometry would affect the handling. Have never tried that. I do know that the rears of the SnowTrackers do wear out before the front does. I think this is inherent to the front end geometry and the spindle placement, puts more pressure on the rears of the skis.

Snowtrackers were designed to be a no fuss bolt-on to the factory skis. Adding mods to a mod is something I would not do.
Been running Snowtrackers for over 10k miles on three different machines. Never felt the need to add shims. They worked just fine for me.
They may make the ski look weird but they do work.
