Somebody stop me

I agree, especially since this is really solid platform and motor and not really a new release. I disagree on the Yen because the snowmobile market is so small in terms of Yamaha's revenue. The US dollar will continue to decline, or at least stay at the extremely low levels, until the U.S. addresses its twin deficiets. They just hit an all time record in 2004 and 2005 isn't looking any better.

Impalapower, you forget to mention that you also still live at home with your parents. LaLaLa

I work in Software, and we call this phenomenon "The Bleeding Edge"

If you are driven by the need to have the latest and greatest then you don't typically mind the minor issues that come with it. Personally, I waited for '05 to buy my RX-1 even though I knew after I rode the '03 I wanted one. I'll be ready for a new one in another 2 or three seasons, and by then these new sleds will be tweaked to perfection the same as the RX-1 was by this year.

I fail to see what else you can throw at these sleds besides the obvious Turbo which may or may not happen. If it does I personally happen to think it will be mountain only.

The crystal ball is right in front of you in 2 places.

1. Motorcycles which is where all the motor technology has filtered down from. Not much on the horizen there. Better saddle bags. Antilock brakes.
Traction controll. Active suspension systems where a sensor looks ahead and reads the bumps and adjusts before you hit it. That is about it and some of the above hasn't happened to motorcycles yet which means sleds wont get it until sometime after

2. Aftermarket performance companies are scratching their heads. All they can really offer is turbos, exhaust systems, longer tracks. Some lighter weight stuff, but Yamaha is already giving us quite a bit of that. Everything else is just more or less fine tuning. Boss seat sales are even going to be choked off with the 06 seat improvements.

06's

Yeah but wouldn't you love to be in the aftermarket taller windshield business... that would make for a great year or two.
