I had some one try to back over my Warrior to today, Scratched the hell out of the hood, several gouges 1/4" wide 1/16" deep, left some paint on the headlight. The sled was mint not hardly a scratch in it. Anyhow it ran perfect just minutes before it happend. Now it idles at about 3000 and has a surging sound. Nothing when you press the throttle. I can't see any thing thats been damaged but the throttle cable seems tighter now then before. And where the throttle cable turns about 80 deg just above the adjustment point the bent tube wiggles like may be it pulled out of the base putting tension on the cable?? Maybe I'm imagining this, Any Ideas or if anyone knows where I can get a blue hood for an 04 warrior.
Thanks

I would go over the adjustment on your throttle cable and make sure nothing is binding! There is a freeplay adjustment at the throttle flipper. It sounds like your cable is too tight.

I hope that person has insurance because I would take it to my dealer and have them go over the sled with a fine tooth comb. Now the idles at about 3000 has a surging sound and where the throttle cable turns about 80 deg just above the adjustment point the bent tube wiggles I would replace it.

I have a throttle cable here that I took off my 04 Warrior I will give you just pay shipping.

The high idle was the TORS kicking in, when the hood was hit it hit the bend in the end of the throttle cable, and bent the plate that the cable adjustment is made on. Straightend it and all is fine now. No other damage other than cosmetic. Hoping to find a used hood, might have one found just depends on what shipping will cost.
