Well I was out running the phaser and if you jam the breaks and come to a complete stop and then take off again it makes a really weird noise. Anyone have this problem? If so is it common or is there a fix?

Yep, I've heard it many times. Mainly sliding into a corner or braking too late, skidding and grabbing a hand full of throttle. On my 07 with the 1" track. No idea if it's bad or not, to me it just seems like the belt grabbing after a complete lock up.
Jumping my 14 I've been hitting brake in the air. It jumps nose high (1.5"track grabs hard) It don't like it and can imagine it's a good thing long term for the belt. It doesn't really lock up and slide like the 07 but when it did yesterday I heard the sound.
I'm sure the pros will chime in and explain much better. Basically the front clutch catching up to the rear drive pully. Out of sync rpm wise.

I have the same issue on my 09.
anytime I use the breaks even if its not a complete stop I get back on the gas and it lets loose a lovely squawk.
It doesn't really concern me too much but it is kind-of annoying.

Check your chain tension.

My MTX does that as well. I'm pretty sure it is the secondary not responding/backshifting fast enough. The secondary needs to be turning to slide the belt back to the outside. Jamming on the brakes locks up the secondary and keeps it shifted out. So now when you get back on the throttle the primary has to pick up the slack in the belt first and then the secondary backshifts quickly causing a clunking noise.
