I have replaced all the bearings in the chain case and on the secondary drive clutch side. There are spacer washer that are used to adjuct the secondary drive. The inside dimension of all the washers are the same size. The problem is that when I place a spacer on the left side of the secondary clutch, its diamater is larger than the diameter of the aluminium sleve of the clutch. Is ths normal? I am afraid that as the clutch and washer rotate, the washer will damage the end of the aluninium sleve.

The way you described this really makes one read this to figure out what you are saying. Maybe that is why no one responded. ??

But, ...

I think you are O.K. with the condition you are describing. The larger washer holds the secondary on the shaft. The other washers are inside the secondary on top of the spacer to keep the bolt head out far enough so the Secondary clutch at least 1/16" of axial play (i.e. So you can move the secondary back and forth on the shaft).

So, .. you should be good to go.
