Stopped by a dealer today and happened to speak to a YAMAHA tech who was setting up a new ER today and was advised to bring my tool box if a plug fouls or see if triple a makes sled calls.

little hatch that sort of surrounds the handle bar stem is how you get to the plugs now, not the hood. It is tight, lucky they dont foul much and 4 strokes dont .
Everytime I see this "what if I have to change a plug?" post, I always get a good laugh. When was the last time you pulled your truck over and changed a spark plug? Its going to take some people a long time to get over the 2-stroke world. ===SRXSRULE===

Could not have said it better, old habits die hard. Spark plug trouble will be about 3% of what is typical of a 2 stroke

Plugs do fail.. not often.. but it happens.. even with EFI

I fouled a plug on my rx-1 when i first got it,left the choke on too long,now that there fuel injected this should be a non issue.
