To change the spark plugs does the gas tank half to come off, Don t look like there s much room in between caps and gas tanks.

Yes that is true as I have 15,954Km on my original plugs so I figured he must be changing them for a reason.

Just tried the machine now, hasn t ran in two years. Tremoundous lack of power, seems that its only running on one cylinder (no fault code). So I m either thinkin bad gas, but I have mixed in fresh gas. Leaves me to fouled plug. Any opinions.

2 yrs is a long time - could be the gas is gummed up and causing a blockage somewhere. Don't see why the plugs would foul just sitting there unless it flooded on start-up. Could try a fuel system treatment to see if it would clear up. I don't know what the other options are with the FI system.

Fuel treatment did the trick, plugs were fine. What a job to change plugs, Yamaha can really put a twist on maitenance service on they re four strokes.
