I want to pull my spark plugs to pour a little oil in the cylinders, but with the tight fit it's hard to get any leverage to pull the boots off. Any tricks?

I forgot to mention that the sled has 0000 miles on it. Does this make a difference? I assume that the rings have not seated yet.

the yamaha plug tool makes taking the plugs out a breeze, its in the front pouch. personally i would give them a shot of oil and not run the sled till the winter. Change out the coolant to a 50/50 mix while you are at it and get ahead of the game.

The yamaha plug tool works well and its a breeze to get them out no tank removal is nessasary. The coil sticks have a flexible rubber end on the so no worries on breaking them when you pull them out.

I have no mechanical aptitude but had the same problem.

I trying to get at the plugs right now.

After twisting and pulling on those boots I came up with the idea of using a 1" tie down strap to loop around the top of the boot. Pulled up an out she came!

I hope it's the spark plug boot that came out. The damn thing is 5" long. Now to find the spark plug!

This is the spark plug boot. Right??
Lol... Do they really need to be changed that often... Tight under there for sure... Mine runs fine so left them as is.

Remove the tank to torque plugs to 9.4 ft lbs. Cant torque correctly with tank on. It be one thing if you were in a pinch on the side of the trail. If you break a plug from over torque you'll have some work to do.
