Is any body running a better plug than the factory ones? If so what are they? I noticed in the Nytro Forum we're all (most of us) running CR10EK's including myself. My wife has a Phazer and I wondered if there was a little tweak in performance this way for hers also. Thanks in advance guys.
:rocks:

I have herd mixed reviews about the CR10's. Some have reported a cold start fouling issue, and some guys love em.

I guess it's hit & miss..?

I guess so. From what i understand is that the only difference is temperature. I'm not sure how a cooler plug could give more HP? If so it would only be by one or 2 and i don't think it would be noticeable.

There are other threads out there that have different hypothesis but my belief is, if you can inject the fuel directly at the (open side, indexing) electrode you should burn better and more. So with double the electrodes...........you guessed it, better chance of hitting the fire!
With my Nytro it appears to be very crisp now, even though I didn't think it could be "crisper" I'm likin it! Simple, effective and best plug n play for the buck. But I don't wanna mess with the ole ladies machine unless this works on the Phazer also. I'm sure lot's of you know what I'm talkin about. lol

The CR9's (Stock phazer plug) already has the 2 electrodes. The only difference would be the plug is cooler.

I guess I should have hit the books first and not looked first at the machine. It has BR9ES in it. That's right, I pulled duh Gilligan. The machine was previously owned.
They come with CR9EKB's.
Thanks all!

Yup the CR9EKB's are the ones that come with the sled. ;)!

hotter plug could cause pre ignition in the chamber

True, so maybe with the cooler plugs one could run 87 octane all the time with no problem.

Is the reason for the 91 octane not because the engine runs fairly hot and the 91 is less likely to ignite before it should?

I believe we have 12:1 compression ratio.Thats pretty high compression ratio and probably reason for premium.
