I don't know about you guys but i've already been thinking of next yr. This yr sucked we didn't even have enough time to change things to show our speed gains as we needed. I had a goal of running a top speed of 125mph. I broke that by running 127.6 with my brake rotor warping into my caliper by slowing me down by problaby by 2-3mph, lol. I'm setting my next goals by changing a couple of more things. This yr i ran 113.5mph in 1320', 120mph in 2000" and 127.6mph all on radar. I think I can top these times by 8-10 mph. I think with some tinkering of the gears i can run 120mph in 1320', 128mph in 2000' and topping the sled at 136+mph in 3000'. These sleds fly when you dial them in right. guys don't let anyone tell you otherwise. i made many a doubters this yr by shutting their mouths and put their 800 etec's and "new" cat turbo's on their trailers with their tails tucked between their legs. Anyone who doubts me is more then welcome to come to my test times to bring thier sleds. If you want help setting up their sleds I'd be glad to help.

I hope you guys have a great yr and I'll post you guys on my changes and what the outcomes will be.

Not sure if you are tight lipped but i would love to see a break down of your mods. This is a 136 right?

I think your radar gun needs to be re-calibrated or you have the worlds fastest Apex. Have you ever been at a real radar run???

If you go east to west your speed will increase due to the rotation of the earth. The closer you get to the equator the faster you'll go. You can figure on adding about 1047 mph to your top speed in Ecuador. Or, you might consider using the sun as your frame of reference. In this case you're already doing about 63,000 mph.

first of all we have 3 different guns that are all right on the money as well as i'll run gps on the sled. they'll not all wrong. i can't help it my sleds fast but i'm damn happy about it.

i've already told you guys i took 2nd place in the gravenhurst radar runs with a track chewed all to crap by 3pm with 106.9mph or is their gun off too?

A warped disc is an old speed run trick. It pushes the pistons and pads away from the disc freeing up some drag. I used to push the pads away from the disc before we found the bend the disc on purpose trick.

Do you have any idea how much power it takes to pick up 8-10 MPH??? Your not going to get it with gearing running the speeds your claiming. Wishing you luck though in trying.

He's using a stalker sport radar it looks like.
Those are the most accurate out there.

i don't tknow model but i do know it cost my cousin $1800-$2000 to buy it a couple of yrs ago and i think that was used. we can hook it up to a computer and print a graph to try to tell us if there's any lag in our runs.

it's not a trick, i know what you mean though. you might as well take the caliper right off but you still need brakes, right? what i meant was my rotor has got so hot it warped and now it's digging into my emergency brake and into the caliper saddle. when the machine is still on a stand you cannot spin the track by hand anymore, it's slowing me down quit a bit. this is just happened a week before we stopped running. that being said i still ran 120mph in 2000' and 127.1 in 3000'. i'm sure if the damn thing didn't drag it'd be 2-3mph faster.

i do know how hard it is to pick up 8-10mph especially with sleds like yours. we have sleds that run our track that you'd like too. they're running anywhere from 150-175mph in 1320'. they laughed at the beginning of the season when i brought out the "old lump" but after we started getting some respectible times for a stock apex they were impressed. i've had 2 different guys ask to buy the sled because the speeds it runs, you can run it all day long and still ride the trails at night.

i picked up 8.5mph over last yr with a couple of changes. there are still a couple more i can do and still call it a stock sled. i think with them i can do it. i'll show everyone with the radar gun and just not me talking about it.

Some sleds just go better than others. My '07 GT will literally walk away from my '06 ER, but your numbers are huge. Are you going to give up any of your secrets?

i've sent dozens of members pic's and lists of what i've done. i'm all about making all our sleds faster. homemade ram air lid with slp prefilter, 8" big wheel kit, 1" lug track, 24/38 gears, lower the front suspension as low as it would go, polar atac clutch and raise the limiter strap as high as it'll go. send me a pm and give me your email and i'll send you pic's of everything.
