HEY

I'm gonna install a 2 inch track on ym rx1 mountain and i was just wondering about the speed sensor. this is my first year having a rx1. i just want to know what do i have to do so i wont mess up anything to do with the sensor. so i just take the 2 nuts off the speed sensor and i comes off and do i take the bolt out of the end of the driveaxle which holds the gear on the end so the speed sensor can read the speed? also 2 more nuts and the drive bearing plate comes off. then remove the driveaxle bearing. if i have (4) 8 tooth spockets on my driveaxle, which way will i need to pull the driveaxle though. when i removes the chain case i think it will be better to pull it through that side. just looking for your opinion! which side will i pull the drive axle through to remove track? Clutch side or Chaincase side??

bearing removel

there,s also two allen ore torx screw on the bearing coller that lock the bearing to the drive shaft that must be backed off as well and then you slide the drive shaft out the chain case side then down and out the other side. ;)!

ya...i know that there are 2 torx screws on the coller of the driveaxle bearing. so if i take the 2 nuts off the speed sensor and the bolt out of the end of the driveaxle with holds the cog on the end which reads the speed, would they come off easily and are there any loose parts in the speed sensor? i am just making sure before i take this off because i dont want to mess any thing up! so pull it out the chaincase side and tilt is dwn on the driveaxle bearing side and slide the track off?
let me know...thanks

there is nothing complicated about the speed sensor removal. the pickup stays attached to the sled, the small gear is removed with one bolt, the plate is removed with remaining bolts. when the bearing set screws are backed off, it will slide out as well. with chaincase completely removed axel will move towards chaincase and drop out of tunnel on the clutch side. check the bearing and grease or replace if needed.
