Loose or corroded connection on the back of the guage.

Mine will take some time to show any display when it is very cold out. About 1 min before any lights or anything came on when it was -25 the other day.

Normal for Rx1's and Warrior's when quite cold out.

maybe it is just loose or corroded connection. that many miles and no troubles.
Mine only stays blank when it is very cold out, as my shop is not heated yet.

Never had a delay in mine, and I started several times in - 45 degree temps. You may want to check the connection. If it is clean and solid, then there is a temp sensitive component in the gage. It will most-likely eventually fail completely. If it is still on warranty, you may want to get the gage replaced.

Loose connector at the back of the CDI ("speedo")? May was to take it off and use some contact cleaner on it. Otherwise, just wiggle it a bit ant try to reseat it firmly in the meter.

Both my sleds won't tach right at the start, esp. when extremely cold. Once it gets to a certain rpm it will all go. The headlight on my srx won't go on right away as well, until it hits the certain idling rpm also.
