Got out for an extended ride today and i noticed that every once in awhile the speedo was fluctuating, riding at 55 drops down to 10 for 1/4 of a second that back to normal, TORS wasnt activating nor was i getting any error codes, magnetic sensor mounted firmly by the shaft and the cog mounted to it is secure and not missing any teeth, im suspecting a loose connection possibly is there any way i can test the sensor?

Change the sensor
My 2012 did that after about 800 miles.
It was cutting out, up and down, always wrong, then after a day or 2 the TORS started acting up, among other things.
It seems a bad speedo sensor, after a while will affect the computer and it tries to figure out what is wrong and messes things up.
After changing it, it's still not quite right but at least it doesn't kick the TORS in just when you want to come out of a corner to not get rear ended
Right now, the speedo is still coasting to a stop after the sled is dead stopped...still gotta figure that one out

if your still having issues then it sounds like that wasnt the problem then?? The speedo sensor is a hall effect sensor , its just a magnet, theres really nothing inside it that can fail other then the wiring connections which im pretty sure is whats going on here, it is reading properly the majority of the time. if its anything like a vehicle (and im sure it is) theres a reference voltage supplied to it (either 5 or 12vdc) a ground, and a voltage back (actual speed)
its supposed to be really warm this weekend, ill test the sensor and show you how i did it and let you know what i find

Changing it cured most of the problem.
I had to go to a dealer 5 times as it was an intermittent problem, which lends credence to the bad connection you mention.
After they changed the sensor it mostly worked but just didn't zero untill a second or 2 after I was stopped. He said that was just an adjustment but there was no snow there to run on for the adjustment.
Since the dealer is 1 1/2 hour drive away I just haven't bothered with it.
I would like to get it figured out though
