Anyone with an 05 getting frosted up speedo gauges or am I the only "lucky one "(o3 rx1/04 warrior/and now 05 rx1).
they all worked ok to about -15 c. Always frost up in the bottom right side-can't read the gas / mileage or speed.By the way the new type boot etc. are all in place.Damn annoying $12000 machines with mickey mouse watches.

I've got an 05 RX-1, if it's cold, the speedo frosts, right on top of the speed read out. It seems like the boot is in properly.

Even know the boot is installed properly the melting snow dust on the engine turns to steam and finds the smallest air leaks to get in. Some have fixed the problem by sealing the boot better with some silicon and stuff.
I had an 03 and an 04 and they both frost up slightly in the cold weather. Never bad enough that I can't read the guages...Always clears up when I put the machine in the heated shop after every ride...I live with it..

They aren't supposed to frost. Contact your dealer and you'll get another assembly free (with 0 km

Mine frosted at -16 this weekend.
MM.. Gosh darn I hate taking it in to a dealer.............MM.
MM.. Gosh darn I hate taking it in to a dealer.............MM.Install the filters on the hood vents and that problem goes away too. Snow melting on the motor rises and eventually some goes into the speedo. I took mine off and and let it dry with the connection side up installed again with a little silicone on the boot. It is just as easy to fix yourself as it is to load and take to a dealer unload then load and bring home and unload again. Then find that at -15 the darn thing still fogs up because they didnt use silicone or installed hood filters.

even when snow comes up and over my hood and over my windshield, the speedo still doesnt frost. it just gets a little powder on it that can be wiped off.
Go get a new speedo.

My 05 Warrior frosted right over the MPH when it got very cold two weeks ago.
According to the mags I read there was supposed to be a new improved seal on those this year but it doesn't appear that way.
