So before I buy a used speedo.. has anyone one had the following problem... In warm weather or when the underhood temperature heats up the speed indication becomes intermittent or just reads 0. The speedo assembly/tack always has power..it it just the speedo. It is not driveshaft bearings or the pickup.. I have replaced those. I have unplugged and reconnected the wiring harness connectors and that didn't seem to fix it. I think it is the speedo/tack assemble but wanted another opinion. Maybe I can heat up the speedo witha hair dryer and see if I can make the problem occur in the garage. Has anyone had this problem?
