Any ideas. Totally went dead everything. Sled runs fine. Heated sheild also quit working. Checked the power coming from the adapter hook up and nothing. Sounds like it's time to take it to the dealer. 2 miles on it before it happened.

Thanks guys. I will check in the a.m

Had this happen last year. The shield plug came apart and shorted the outlet. Turned out it was brake light fuse. If you take the screws out for your hood you can just move it over a little to get to the fusebox if you don't feel like taking the hood all the way off.

Good luck

No tail light that must be it! I read the tail light fuse blows the whole thing goes blank.

This is why I ran a seperate circuit for my gps and my heated shield direct from the battery and put a fuse block in the rear for those 2 circuits. Didn't want to take down the whole sled if something went wrong. Plus I wanted them to both still have power when I shut the engine off for a break.

I can't believe that Yamaha would have the dash on the same circuit as the accessory outlet and the tail light. Are you sure about this? In any case I also ran a new fused circuit for my heated shield and GPS because I wanted them to remain hot during trail stops.

I'm not sure if they are the same circuit or not. The above posts lead me to believe they are. Since I wasn't sure I didnt want to take a chance. The fuses aren't the easiest thing to get to. I like the design of the sled but having to take the hood off to change a fuse is beyond stupid.

EVO hood bolt kit makes them thumb operated and no tools needed to remove hood, I like mine
