Spindleissue on Nytro/Phazer?

I have seen that on some Nytros or Phazer the spindles are mounted like this. The thing that I have seen is diffrent is the mountingbrackets for the tierod. Are the spindles changeable between left and right?

If you check the edge on the mountingbrackets for the tierod on the first pic is straight towards the outside but on the second pic the outside edge of the bracket is about 45dg. As I remember the hole for the tierod is not centered so this will mean that the mounting postion is diffrent.

The first picture is a 2008 spindle and the second is the 2009 spindle. A-arm and spindle changes were made in 2009 to try to improve the geometry of the Nytro. On the 2008 model it is possible to swap the spindles around but a few other mods like shortening the tie rods need to be done.

OK I was just intressested when I am planning to make new spindles to my Phazer and wondering if the mouting closer to the chassie will decrease the bump steer?

I will anyhow make a model to test diffrent mountingplave for the tierod to see where there is minimal of bump steer.

Isnt the bolt hole offset for the upper arm bolt so if you swapped them camber would be way off.

Yes it's offset but the 08's lack camber.

To see the bump steer you are going to have draw out the arcs of the suspension through it's travel with
the hinge points. Or take out the shocks, run the suspension and steering through their full travel and measure the toe at full drop, up, left, right and centered. You really just want the inside ski
to turn a little sharper than the outside in a turn, not
the other way around. You will always have some bump steer with the skis turned because you've moved the inside tie rod arc point. Anyone with CAD skills could map out a working computer simulation I
would think. Not so sure bump steer even matters much on a sled. But I am not a hard pack trail rider.

What mods , other than tie rods, need to be done? I’m assuming taper the edges to allow for full arch of travel and steering?
I have a set of 09 tie rods that I assume will work if I swap side to side?
