I like the design but I don't think it's beefy enough for a 150hp sled.

I've noe seen a problem with the similar design on the MachZ.

Cat.
They've been doing it for 15 years.
I've also seen lots of bent Cat A arms and spindles and I can't recall any damage to the bulkheads where they bolt on. A pair of A arms are also less than 1/2 the cost of Yamaha's.

Hadn't noticed those spindles on the Phazer. I have seen how Poo, Cat, and Doo have very similar spindles on their sleds to the one on the Phazer. If the other manufactures can get those spindles to work on their big bore sleds, I would imagine Yamaha could too.
Rather than saying who is the best designer, I like aspects from each of the manufacturers. The "snap on" luggage design by Ski Doo is awesome and I wish my Yamaha had this feature. OK, it's down to Yamaha and Doo.

That new front suspension has to be less expensive, tighter, and lighter. Looks good to me. I too wish they'd take a peek at what the other guys are dooing for storage!!

With the guys that I ride with, they have had lots of problems with their arctic cat spindles, sometimes not even being able to repair them. Cant remember the exact problems, but one of the holes in it broke, then the shaft inside cracked, then sheered at the top. This was on a AC 440 Snopro that wasnt raced.

Ski folded under sled went end over end 4000$ damage and I took helo ride to hosp. 3/4/06 ribes still very sore but I'm alive sort of . Yamaha has not told me if they will warenty it or not. I love the sled but kind of leary of rideing it or any sled right now.
