#1 Have 11mm bar and longer links. Was considering changing to straight rate springs as well. Spoke to Pioneer to discuss there 2.3 kg/mm springs, they indicated that these would "stiffen" the ride. Just wondering if 2.1 or even 1.9 would be better choice for better ride.

That's a good question. I know the ones who bought theirs from Max Performance were the 2.1 kg/mm. I was going to go that route but thought I would shop around for a better price. When researching what Pioneer had to offer, I saw they offered the 2.3 and was wondering the same thing; will this be too much. The ones who went with the 2.1 rate springs were very happy with the ride and cure for the ski lift.

Does anyone know what the stock spring is on the 2004's? Does Pioneer's spring come in different colors? I think Max Perf's only comes in blue.

Not sure on colors...
Pioneer did tell me that the 2.3 kg/mm did stiffen the front considerably. When used with the 12mm bar.
The 03 RX1 = 1.9 - 3.0 kg/mm spring, the 04RX1 = 1.9 kg/mm, and the RX1 Warrior = 2.1 kg/mm. I think if one was only gonna do the spring update they would need the 2.3, I think I've talked myself into not upgrading the springs yet, I installed the 11mm bar last year, it helped, and I've got the longer links to try...if it still dives in corners than I'll either order the 2.3 or 2.1 straight rate spring.

MaxxPerf's standard RX1 spring for 03 swaybar and links is a 140, or 2.5 in metric. The one they recommend with the 04 swaybar and links is the 130, or 2.3. They recommend setting for ZERO preload.
