hey guys, as most usuals i come to this site alot when winter hits! started up the beat and drove it around put about 150km so far this season. i changed plugs(what a bit..) and oil. so after i got my oil tank back from welding after i broke the bottom around the drain plug everything went well. but now... when i start it up she sputters for 5-10 sec then runs mint. and a few times this year when i start it for the firt time in a day it will start, run for 2 secs, then die. it repeats this procces a number of times before staying running? any advice here guys? a tad embarrasing when ur trying to compete with a few pro RMK,s

Moisture got into your lines and freezing maby? Run it close to dry then Try some gas line antifreeze on your next tank

assuming you pulled the tank for the plug job...I would ensure that the fuel line routing hasn't been pinched

I notice in your signature full MBRP system, but no PC or RB fuel controller. Has the system been added lately?

I have sputtering my first ride, with old gas in the lines. Once i get it topped with new fuel (always premium) she is a new machine again. Maybe switch from the gas that the nut job out in Meath Park sells? Knowing what he's like I wouldn't even trust a pack of gum from there.

If you haven't ridden the sled much after you got it, I believe you might need a fuel manager with the mods you currently run. It's possible the fuel is stale, but personnally I would check front to back for blockages or voids. I've seen a mouse nest start a Cat on fire!mx1500 said:i bought the sled used. the fellow said mbrp header and pipe/can. and the can and header are deffinatly not stock. it doesnt have a fuel controller

ARGH that's Ethenal!!! Man stay away from that, it's like 20-25% Eth. Could be your whole problem right there. Plus it's hard on the injectors. Get some Shell at least

you need 87. whenever I run 89 or 91 i spit and sputter
TORS how much play in the throttle cable. Certain exhaust cans feel like they stumble off idle but if this just started then its probably not the tune. Im not saying tune won't help though.

You might want to consider just checking your coils from the l/h side and make sure they're on nice and snug. By the way what did you put in for plugs?
