mont laurrier is as far north as Manwan..there its good..but around st zennon and st.Micheal.. its paper thin..the trails have not open in Jolliet this year..unless way north its not good..Allain must be going nuts..the trails are closed near his house..Was down near the border by Coaticoat.( south west of magog)...and the snow was 2-3 feet in the feilds..near the border..and they are going to get hammered tomorrow..
My friend has a place on the lake near Cabanon..and he says put studs..they need snow,..

Not good to hear!! Was planning a trip 2 weeks from now in st zenon. Maybe by tomorrow we will have more snow here than st zenon. That explains why they have not updated the trails conditions for that area on the fcmq website.

Hi guys
I'm not going nut yet, I have a good trailer
In fact St Zénon area have nice conditions right now, not so much snow but as always groomers make miracles with it !!! For St-Michel, there's a nore lean spot a mile around the village as always but the rest is good. North from Taureau Dam have very nice condition. The west of Lanaudiere like St-Donat is thinner than St-Zénon but still OK. Mt-Tremblant park is nice.
Souther areas like St-Côme, St-Jean de Matha or St-Gabriel de Brandon are opened but just with passable trail conditions and very south like near home just groomed for the first time last week-end but will need snow to make something decent... Maybe the snow of tommorroy will be my ticket to ride from home...
The Lanaudiere trail condition web site was, from what I had seen, spot-on with thier reports . Here the link: http://www.lanaudiere.ca/en/theme/snowmobile/conditions
I realize I don't posted my St-Donat ride report from 22 jan. here... I do it right now...

Good to hear Alain! Trails look decent and probably better farther north! Were getting hit in ottawa pretty good and hopefully this snow will blow north your way. Hopefully a good 10cm will bring condition back up to excellent.

Yes JROCK
We had been hit
We received around 8'' /20cm at home, enought to shape up the south of Lanaudiere and open near all the area trail network
Tourism Lanaudiere launch this press release today:
The generous snowfalls of the past few days mean that most of Lanaudière’s 2,300 km snowmobile trail network is now usable.
Trail conditions are considered "good" to "excellent" in the following sectors: Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Saint-Donat, Saint-Zénon, Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie, Mont-Tremblant National Park, Saint-Michel-des-Saints, Mastigouche and Rouge-Matawin wildlife reserves, and Manawan.
The recent accumulation has of course improved conditions throughout the entire snowmobiling network in Lanaudière, and those responsible for the trails have been working very hard to provide the finest surface quality possible. Visit www.snowmobilecountry.ca for regularly updated trail conditions. Here you will also find an interactive trail map and details of snowmobile packages.
Remember also that Lanaudière’s network of trails links up with those of neighbouring regions, adding hundreds more kilometres of touring possibilities to your snowmobiling and lodging options in Lanaudière.
The latest snowfalls are certain to enhance your touring experience among the magical landscapes of the region and give a fresh boost to the snowmobile season. We would remind you, however, to exercise caution on the trails at all times, especially on lakes and rivers. It is also important for your safety to stay on the marked trails.

Anyone think the trails will hold up in the saint donat and saint zenon area after tomorrow? We are heading up to saint donat saturday morning and riding north from there. I know they recieved a good amount of snow last weekend. Weather network says plus 6 by friday and 5-10mm of rain. I hope not! Any guesses?

friday morning, 0Celcius. We got some rain last night. The fresh fluffy snow from the last 10 days have packed which is not a bad thing, no damage until now. The rain ended but still mild temp.on forecast for today. It will freeze back only tonight...

Got back from our 3 day trip with the family!! Trails were icy with hard base due to some rain on thursday/friday. Some wash out in mont tremblant park saturday. Around st zenon hard base icy with just enough snow lube. Saint donat had the best conditions by monday with hard base and 2" of new snow. All trails have a good solid base with the rain and should be mint with new snow. Hopefully be able to ride there again in march. Thanks to alain for keeping me updated on the weather conditions. Glad we went!!!!
