Before I order the Starter Relay that is OEM for an '06 RTX, wanted to check to see if there is a newer version that will be more effective and not corrode as the orignal did and that will work the same?

Check eBay. There is a whole list of Apex parts on there right now... Could save you some $$$$$$$$$$$$...
