I recently replaced my 03 RX-1 with a 07 Apex. On my last trip of the season last year I had some problems with the starter relay freezing on the 03 RX-1. I would have to remove the starter relay and warm it up for my sled to start. Is this still a problem on the Apex? Any updated parts released or ways to prevent the relay from freezing? Looks like the exact same part on both the sleds.
I see a solid state fuel pump relay is available after some searching.

It has a relay problem for the ignition. I would get a red solid state relay and never look back.

On the relay plug pack this and the white connector full of dielectric grease to prevent corrosion.
This relay has never frozen on me but has corroded causing a no start

It was a problem on my 03 RX-1. That's why I made this thread asking if the Apex still has issues like this. The relay looks similar but not sure if they have a updated part over the years or the different chassis setup protects the relay better.

Thanks viper, I haven't had problem yet with my 03, hate to admit it but I ordered a aftermarket one off ebay- said it replaces the newest updated part#. $13.
Just to have as spare and compare it to original. Yamaha is $88. They look the same will see if it's junk.
If it even saves a trip for someone broke down once it's worth it.

I had that same idea. Thinking I could buy 7 of the eBay relays for the price of a yamaha. Installed the eBay relay. Had starting issues the first night.
