O.K., electrical gurus, feel free to jump in at any time........had an issue develop with my 06 RS Nytro starter that just coincidentally happened at EXACTLY the same time that I swapped the ECU for a "new" one......."new" in quotes because it is actually a used one I got from LANEO. The starter motor spins but will not engage the flywheel even when being jumped off of my Suburban........(checking to see if maybe weak battery).
So I looked online.........the part number for the Nytro starter motor assembly is 8GL-81890-00-00. I happen to have an extra good starter motor from my 03 RX-1 in the garage but it's part number is listed as 8FA-81890-00-00. Suspiciously close but not the same. Anybody know FOR SURE if they are interchangeable?
