Have an 07 Apex Mtn with about 3000 miles on it. Lately when I've gone to start it after its been sitting outside, like overnight. It will just click when I turn the key and do nothing. (Solenoid noise, starter won't engage). If I keep doing this (5+ times), it will finally start. I had this problem once last year and didn't think anything of it, but it is becoming a recurring problem.
I know it's not my battery because everytime I plug my trickle charger into it, it shows more than 80% charged. When the sled is warm and I've been riding it, it will start with no questions ask. So it has to do something with it being cold, ice, or something. Any ideas on where to start looking?
I searched through the last 30 pages on here and didn't see any threads about this.

starter relay above your left foot when sitting on the sled. I believe it is the far left relay, swap it out with one of the other 3 that has the same part # and that should solve the problem. Not too expensive at the dealer to get a replacement

The actual starter relay is located down by the battery according the parts breakdown and service manual. The one you mention is considered a load relay.
I'm no electrical expert by any means so I have no idea which one to check first.
I suppose I could start with the one you mention. It didn't do it to me yesterday when I started it, so it's an intermittent problem.

normally its the load relay then, I am planning at some point to get an extra one, but I know I can swap them out if it happens to mine.

Had that happen to me once on a trip, ended up being a loose battery terminal.

I keep a blow drier..and have had to use it on more than one sled..carry spares for my sleds..all those relays such..moisture then ice,,maybe they will fix this the sametime as the handwarmers..lol.

My vote is for a loose battery connection and/or your battery is begining to take a dump, losing it's capacity. It's four years old now, and that's about the limit for a battery that only gets used once in a while. You could take it to nearly any Auto Parts Store and they could test it for you for free.

Same thing has happened on my Apex and Phazer. Both times it was the starter relay. They are pricey. I keep a spare in the shop. It started out intermittent and usually only when it was cold, below -15C then got progressively worse..

I've noticed mine getting worse on my Phazer as well, am convinced that its the relay, both local dealerships have said "we had no problem starting it." Probably because they hauled it into a heated shop and let it thaw before they looked at it.

Yup, probably. Is it warrenty? If not, if I remember right, it's fairly easy to get at on the Phazer as the battery is mounted on the side. On the Apex it's under the airbox (or intercooler
