Earlier today I went out to start my sled up and I've started it up throughtout the summer with no problems. I turned the key and all the gauge lights turned on and you could hear the fuel pump and soon as I went to turn it over..CLICK, no start. I tried it a few more times just turning off the key and trying it again and it finally started. I ran the sled for a lil while and then tonight I went out to see if it would start again and same thing. CLICK, no start. I pushed in on the key abit and it started right up and I can shut it off and it starts right away again but it seems like anytime I let it sit for awhile and then go to start it again I have the same problem. I have never messed with any of the wiring on the sled. I'm just wondering what some of your opinions are and what you think is going on. Thanks. Nick

possibly the starter relay problem, ive heard about starter relay problems past winter. its mounted near the battery, and if im not wrong its connected to the battery on the negative terminal. just a clicking sound? it should be your starter relay, and have to buy a new starter relay to get her started up again

If you dont have to replace it you should be able to clean it and pack it with die-electric grease. i had to do this with my 08 after i replaced it. had no problems since. its a good idea to put die-electric great on all the plugs. just a cheap insurance so if they get any moisture then get cold or anything you will have no problems

Gents,
I had this same problem with my 07 Phazer. Due to the relatively low cost of a replacement I always carried a spare relay with me. Dealer said the issue was due to water entering the relay. As suggested the grease would likely work.

I think I was in the process of putting the front clip back on and ran back out at the end of the night to shoot those pics.
To all you neat freaks out there in TY land, yes, that means I left all those tools out over night, but I probably picked them all up off the cement and put them on the piece of carpet you see. At any rate it's my mess and I wiped them down when I finally put them away.

My 08 just started acting strange as well. Does the relay fuses pop out?
I removed white connector and added die-electric grease to all connections. Also checking my battery connections as well, adding grease as well.

I had trouble starting my sled today. I would turn the key and nothing. No lights, no fuel pump cycle, no click of the relay.
Turns out it was the ignition connector that was corroded on one of the four pins. Luckly I found it quick as I happened to bump it as I was fumbling around and everything came to life. Somewhere else to clean up and add the dielectric grease.

Check and clean your battery terminals. I had the exact same thing happen to me last winter and that's all it was.

I think my battery has died. I turn key on and dash lights but flickers starting relay clicks. Not much more. I will check ignition switch and keep looking and appling die electric grease. Really weird, moved it this summer. Ran it Started just last week. I got battery back on the charger.
