Stator replacement advice

I am replacing the stator on a 2008 vector, i have all the bolts that hold the stator cover on removed but the cover feels like it is attatched via a spring loaded something on the inside, i see no reason it shouldn't just come right off in the manual, whats going on???

There is a magnet inside the cover. You'll have to pull it hard.

Thought that was only2005-07 thought they updated it?

Thanks, it was just the force of the magnets that was holding it, unbelievably strong..... anyhow stator is out and burnt like a crisp...

How did your stator replacement go? I have an 06 and have to do the same. ANy tricks you found out or learned? ALso any great sources or vidoes on how to do did you find?
