Staying warm at continuous high speed riding on coldest days

Firstgear or Tourmaster heated gear. I got mine at competition accessories. You can do jacket, bibs, socks, gloves whatever you need. I ride mainly open trails in Quebec and this setup works very well with lots of versatility. They have temperature controllers to adjust how much heat you get. I love them. I tried an extra tall windshield on my old GSX 1200 SE and hated it. Just use the normal height now. In the process of buying a new Turbo so this winter will be a new test for the heated gear.

for boots, Klim jacket and pants and ski-doo has heated vest that work great and you can buy them cheap on ebay $80-100 for vest.

Klim jacket and bibs gets my vote. The togwotee gloves I don't find very warm. I also have Cabelas ecwcs polar weight base layers and swear by the. Incredibly warm.

I'm starting to think the Medium windshield looks the best.

Maybe i'm like that guy that's dating a real UGLY girl, but she's an ANIMAL in the sack!
He thinks she's beautiful.
I think the Medium windshield is beautiful.

I'll take performance over looks any day...a warm Steve is a happy Steve!

For gloves, motorfist also.
Boots, Baffin Apex
Helmet, brp BV2S

The key to staying warm is Layering! I always wear a base thin then either mid or heavy on top depending on exterior temp, same for bottom.
No cotton, ever!

My friend has had a pair of Klim pants & jacket since 2001. Last year they put in new zippers for free. They are the best....and most expensive.

Don, i think the thread count is too low to be comfortable. I'd stick to KLIM!

Fair enough Steve. I was just trying to pick up the slack here while you were up in your deer stand. :dunno:

Go for the Klim, just make sure you get the Storm flap, or wear a back pack with waist buckle to stop draft from coming up.
Due to bad hips, rode for many years standing up so windshield height made no difference, but loved my Klim, with back pack as i didn't have storm flap. That is one problem with Klim it doesn't wear out. I still wear the Klim/Yamaha set from I think 2009 or 2010.

The moto fist bibs ARE the driest/warmest you can buy .I have klim ,cold wave ,fxr ,doo ,yamaha ,choko and the Moto fist are the best .Baffin boots also meet my needs for warmth and lightness and the ability for them to flex .Doo gripper gloves ,with doo gauntlets also work great if you ride in cold weather .Helmets ??I have most on the market ,but always go back to one of my BV2S helmets .Mx helmets for me don't cut it in the cold ,that's why my f4 ,and 509 never get used .

I'm actually in need of bibs myself. Does any brand sell them with knee pads?

The mo

moto fist come with them .Go to the moto fist site and at times they have close outs for 50% off Like Klim they run small

Klim has removable knee pads. I thought klim ran true to size if not a little big.
