Std FX rear shock valving

Anyone do any revalving or oil thickness changes yet?
Since Im still debating if I can run these 10 tooth extros Im wondering if I should take advantage of the time and (warm weather) and do a little shock tweaking.

My initial thought was to just have them both dumped and recharged with light/medium oil in the middle shock and heavy in the rear.

My second thought was to send them somewhere reputable and have them completely revalved.

took mine out tonught.....also not sure, I will know more in the morning after we get them opened up. tried the heavier springs and that was not the answer....so a little valving is in order.

going to try shoctec in Ontario.......price is good.

You can realize nice gains in ride quailty with a good shock tune up. Any decent shock guy can set you up just give them the details about how you ride and include BOTH what you like and don't like about how they are now!

Do you agree with light-medium oil in the middle for stutters and small chop and then heavy oil in the rear regardless of the stock valving?

to a point (but slightly!!!)
I believe having the correct valve stack for your riding style, weight, trail conditions, and sled is WAY more important!

Meaning great oil can NOT overcome a crappy valve stack!! Period!!!
BUT the reverse of that could be true to a point.. (good valving can over come crappy oil.. (hence like what we used in the early 90s before using what oil is popular today) (not to be confussed with being popular is to be assumed the best lol)

I called HyTech and Pioneer both.

Both are still working on their Nytro shocks and are "almost" done but of course the big melt down has slowed R&D way down. Had great conversations with both of them and both said they will gladley redo my shocks now as long as I understand their not 100% done testing yet. Bruce at Pioneer said he will shave a few bucks off to use my std shocks since he has been mostly working with RTX shocks and very few std FX rear shocks.

I may just ship them out to Bruce today and go back to concentrating on my extrovert driver project......
