So surprising all my stock steering block bushings are still tight after 3,000 miles. BUT the one behind the top of the chaincase makes a god awful noise when i turn that hurts my ears. I hit it with wd-40 just to see and it stopped completely. On further inspection i noticed part of the plastic bushing is broken and hanging out the side.. Question is how the hell do i get the block off??? I cant see anyway to get behind there to hold the bolt to take it off..

This bolt is easily removed...after you remove the gas tank. You actually dont have to remove it just loosen it up and slide it back a little bit.

Get some good grease and it will steer so much easier. I couldn't belive the difference when I did mine.

Wile you have it out to grease it,put a grease fitting in the metal plate, then you can grease it when you service it. I put grease fittings in all my steering blocks. Now I can grease it any time

Perhaps it might be easier removing your left side panel and secondary, then you should have access
with a long extension. You may need two people.

mine looked the same, was still sqeeky tight though. welded zerks to every moving part and very pleased, like adding power steering. got even lazier on my nytro and just drilled small hole in everything and hit with needle often and very pleased there too. no wear

Thanks for all the input guys! The sled right now is at the dealer for another issue, so i think im going to call them tomorrow to see what they think of it also. I really think adding zirks is a great idea. I'd opt for the oilite ones offered aftermarket but for right now i dont have the extra $$ so grease is a great fix, lol!
