In the owners manual it says to lubricate the steering column bearing with specified grease!
Where is this bearing?
Are there any links on this site for a shop manual for RS Vector ER?
Thanks

i'll have to check that out...i love how the manual tells u jack squat bout everythin on there. i wish they'd make a manual just for MY sled, not all the rs models. i think it'd be a lot cheaper to make seperate ones cuz u wouldnt be usin so much paper..but i could be wrong

Yep the manual is useless for some things!
Wouldn't it be the same as on an RX1?
Any of you RX1 guys have any ideas?

yeah one time i had a code 84 come up with the warnin light flash like twice, then pause then flash once. well i looked inteh handbook and it told me it was #3...whatever that means. so i had to call the dealer and ask him what the deal was. he told me to "cut the black wire, re run it to the yellow and splice it from the yellow and red then ur problem should be solved. well since theres ONLY one of each color it made it really easy..yeah right. ended up bein a factory default, handwarmersdidnt work. the greaser is probably behind the steering column and requires u to pull the gas tank...wouldnt that be just bunches of fun

I don't see any grease nipples on any of the linkages!
On glare ice, If i turn the handlebars, I can hear the linkages creaking a bit!
Sprayed some silicone, but would like to know where the grease goes?

I found that the creaking noise comes from the bushing at the rear of the steering shaft that goes alongside of the engine. I used WD-40 because that was all I had at the time. This Summer the bushings will be disassembled and greased with a synthetic grease.
