Transferod will do wonders, you have a book that came w/sled exsplaining this transfer issue, more transfer less ski pressure, less transfer more ski pressure, less spring preload less ski pressure, and less carbide less ski pressure, hope this helps..sledman said:how do you take weight offf skis on apex er other than adjusting limiter strap?
Front shock preload question
Is it better to lessen the front shock spring preload rather than adjusting the transfer rod to to lessen ski pressure but not get the weight to transfer if applying the throttle in a corner(or turn)?

Transfer rod will only change ski pressure under acceleration (how far it will transfer) It will not change ski pressure at crusing speed. When the sled is siting still and you change the transfer frome med to max you have not changed the amount of weight on the ski's at all. Never tried it but i don't think going all the way to min transfer would actualy lift the front of the skid (aplying ski pressure). kviper
transfer rod is not the answer, I might try and put another set of holes in the limiter strap to drop the front of the suspension.

My limiter strap was already all the way out. However, I backed the spring preload off 2 full turns (approx .12") & adjusted the transfer in as far as it will go. Last night I found the steering to be quite a bit lighter. I need a few more rides to really tell you the results as conditions are still not ideal
