Took out the 11 venture while my sleds awaits parts and went for a 134 mile ride today with my youngest son. We had some real fun it was a blast to see him enjoying sledding like he did today. The venture is sure good on gas got about 450 miles on it now. We met a group of four who had just come from Childs Lake and shortly after we found this back pack on the trail. I picked it up and strapped it on the Venture by the time my son and I arrived at Childs Lake for fuel they had phoned and asked the owner if we showed up with it. I handed it over to the guy that runs the store and he phoned the back pack owner and told him we had found it and handed it in to him. I guess he was very happy. So yea we had a great day on the trail today.

Lots of snow but unrideable because its frozen hard like a rock. Barely leave marks with the carbides and studs. Chance of snow on Friday, that would open the whole thing up again unless it comes down as rain!
Went for another 85 mile ride yesterday and the snow here was soft and the temp was +1 or 2 making the fields soft what a great day for riding in March going out today again.
Well got another 65 miles in today fields are soft during the day while melting and hard and crusty at night.
Man sled dog your killing me LOL . There's nothing any where down here . I want to ride so bad I can taste it and acculatuly the woman wants to ride also (cool) . I just did a bunch of mods to my sled and didn't get to put any good miles on it (just around the yard ) I don't know where Saskatchewan is but maybe I'll have to get passport(I heard I need one to go into Canada ) for next year if your ridding this late . I am so jeliuse so is the woman . Don't get me wrong I'm not mad about your still ridding . I just want to ride !!!! Maybe its time to give up one of my other summer hobbies so we can take a trip to Canada next year . It's nice having a good sled now it makes me want to ride . I want to here more miles and how long the season you have . This reply is ment as a joke nothing else . I sooooooo want to ride .10 months and counting . LOL. DAM

LOL well Brian it is melting pretty quick here but because we had so much snow here in the fields it takes time to melt. I should be going out again today for a rip but in the fields here you can just start to see the stubble in the odd place. Is the air box mod still working for you? I talked to the owner of the lodge at Childs Lake two weeks ago and he does cater to snowmobilers. He can host 30 to 35 people I was thinking his place would be an awesome place to host a ride for a bunch of us.

Yes air box is good . Sled ran great all season 12000 miles and climbing. Only problem I had all season was the proaction skid broke rear spring and blew out shock . So I put in sc2 skid , apex seat and lake effect risor and now I have to wait to give it a good beating . It's going to be a long summer . I'll probley try some of the recipes from the lounge they sound good
Ps thinking about a 5 degree timming gear over the summer by the way congrats on being a moderator now Brian

Thanks I am thinking of doing the riser thing as well but I have to get rid of the steering slop first. Being able to stand up would be nice for some jumps and turning.
