stock apex 127.6mph in 2800'

hey guys,
sled's running good now i've just turned 4000miles. i hit 113.5mph in 1320' and 127.6mph in 2800' today. if i had more lake i could have got 130 mph. oh well, there's always next yr.

Are you serious, LMAO....... Can't wait till I hit 4000.
 
Where are you running and what's done to your Apex? That's a good speed for a "stocker".

you wanna sell your zx2 suspension? tommy has gave me your # but i cannot get a hold of you. he said he would try to get a hold of you for me.
we run at long's lake. we think sat maybe the last day we can run if it gets cold on fri night.
the only think i have done is 1" lug track and ram air lid.

I'm probably going to sell the Apex with the zx2 as I spend all my time on the Nytro. Yeah I got to get things caught up and get ahold of Tom.

i beleive ya,we hit 131 back in december on ice,all stock,except for gearing and clutching

that's stock. what are you guys about changing a couple of things to make your sled better. by changing the crappy clutching and the lousy gearing yamaha gave us doesn't mean we're still not stock. what it means is we take pride in running our sleds and we show it. the rest of the "doubter's" out there can keep running their 105-112 and complain to someone who cares, i know i don't.

until you start to change anything on the power plant, which i mean the engine it's still a stock machine all you've done is get the 150hp from the engine to the ground. it's still the same engine with the same hp isn't it? so why isn't it stock? were not changing the gearing because yamaha puts 24 teeth gears in their sleds dont they? why yes they do. people use the yamaha clutch they just change the weights so they get more rev's, yamaha clutch right? what's modified from stock? nothing, only we had the brains and the know how to make them better.

if i wanted to hear BS about being stock i'd join the acrtic cat boys, lol.
 
kuvasz. i agree with you 100%, nothing wrong with tinkering and getting all the power to the ground. ;)!

i wish i could go out my back yard and do testing like that, pretty hard to do when you live 5 hours away from any snow, especially this year.


my 2011 xtx gets pulled by a 2008 ltx from start to finish. :o| right now i can't get this pig to go over 105mph on a lake. i'm very disappointed by the factory settings.
i guess i will have a lot of tinkering to get it to run the way they are suppose to run.
 
stock = no modifications.

adjustments are fine (ie suspension adjustments shown in the user manual). If you have taken a part (ie gears, clutch parts), and replaced it with another part that did not come on the sled, then it is now modified.

ISR rules as stock is pretty much what he's done
