Anyone know the stock gearing on the nytro. And if I run 8 tooth drivers and want to keep my reverse what the largest top spocket I can fit in the nytro casted chain case??
Thanks,

gearing
I have been in extreme debate about this.
My plan is to put a charger on it. I want a bad #*$&@ trail sled that can hold it own on the lake for 1 mile pulls. A 1" track just doesnt cut it on the trails all the time, sometimes it great & sometimes just so-so.
While a 1.5 with longer studs could do the trick I think it might get a little goofy at high speeds and WILL require 8-tooth extroverts. Also, once the charger goes on gearing changes beyond what I can use with reverse.
The Nytro is geared 21/39 = 106mph with overdrive
with 26-38 (which is the max ratio for the Nytro) with full shift =119.06 mph.
However If I use a 136" ripsaw 1 1/4" I can put a bunch of roetin hornets in and keep the 9 tooth allowing me to pretty much save some money on gearing(no need the change the bottom), keep the reverse, and have an all around good trail/lake sled.
I'm going with the 136" X 1 1/4" full clip rip saw.

On aspahlt with 20-38 gearing @8600rpms on the 120 engine just for comparison it ran 107 mph.
21-38 I ran 111.9 mph
21-38 I ran 111.9 mph
