Is anyone running tuner skies with snowtrackers on them? Does it take away the push in the corners or would shaper bars be better. Have C&A on now with six inch rould bar and is way to hard to turn and darts

I am running 8" stud boy shaper bars on the outside with the stock 4" on the inside on the XTX with 144 grand master studs and 150 screw in studs in the paddles and have found the skis very good as long as they are on the ground. I have 375 miles on them now and the only spot it pushes is when other sleds have pushed a lot of loose snow into the turn gut they bite eventually and it comes out the other side. NO darting issues what so ever.

Hope I'm not derailing the thread, but Yamadog can you clarify your posts for me please? I think you're saying in the first post that's on your 2015, and the second post is the 2014?
I'm having the same issue with my new (to me) 2014 XTX, getting some darting as well as push in the corner, especially on entry. Followed by inside ski lift just after apex. I don't want to have to go to new skis if I don't have to... But I "think" Yamaha changed skis on the Viper from 14-15 correct?
For the OP, I'm going to confirm tomorrow but I actually think mine has Snowtrackers on it. I recall when I bought it seeing a flat steel piece running up by the curve of the ski. It might explain some of the crazy spontaneous darting I experienced on real smooth trail earlier today. The sled just started jumping like when a sports car tramlines. I Googled Snowtrackers and there are more than a few warnings out there that they are potentially as dangerous as they are good. So you know...

There is a big different between the semi aggressive Snow tracker and the aggressive snow tracker. I would imho recommend the semi aggressive over the aggressive for these "safety " reasons. The aggressive tracker could be a little much in less than perfect conditions.

Let's not even compare the stock carbides, there's not much to begin with and after a few days there is nothing there. There is a big different between the semi aggressive Snow tracker and the aggressive snow tracker. What I have read about Snow trackers has all been positive. What little negative has been half baked stuff. They look goofy and make a guy scratch his head, but they flat out work. With the Renegade her chief complaints were pushing and a little darty. It really steered for crap on pavement. This was with 6" Shapers on the pilot skis. She also disliked the sliding of the rear on ice. With this in mind I set out with my plan: Snow trackers and 1.6 Ice cobra track. She is not one to ever rave about ANYTHING, but with 2 short trips the only thing she had to complain about was the rough trails. Her exact words were "handling is awesome just need to find some better trails. This was understandable as I had her in Harrison hills and the trails in many places are like a sno-x course with major berms for erosion control.
I have yet to ride it myself, but I have no doubts.
I should add that at the advice of Mike Knapp I went with the Aggressive units. I dialed up the center shock preload and dialed down the ski shock preload to minimize ski pressure.

Just curious, because it wasn't clear to me from the responses, but has anyone actually used the Snowtrackers that are made for the Tuner skis? Apparently, they have separate carbides, unlike the Snowtrackers that fit the 2014 single runner skis. I know the Snowtrackers work well on the single keel skis, but I haven't heard anyone report on the Snowtrackers made specifically for the Tuners.
