I just got back from a great trip to Houghton and noticed at the end of my trip my sled started a strange vibration at about 60 MPH. It oscilates about every 3 seconds for about 1 second each and I can feel it through the handle bars. When I get over 80 I don't notice it as much, but who does notice a small vibration going that fast.
At first I thought it was the belt since the last time I felt something like that the belt delaminated and changed to a new one with out any difference. Any thoughts?
I have one of those hybrid Rx-1s with an 06 Apex RTX rear skid installed.
My real question without really getting underneath and checking is when the idler wheels start to go do they give a funny vibration? I have about 500 miles on the new skid and thats when it all started. That's what I think it is.
Any help would be appreciated.

CHECK YOUR SKID FOR delaminated wheels
and WARPED wheels
and WARPED wheels
Check your jackshaft and driver bearings.

How did everyone know their idler wheels were warped and delaminated? Was it from a vibration in the skid or because we all know to look at them?

BTW The jackshaft and bearing were checked when I had the skid installed.
