I have the stock '03 mountain set up and my track has stretched enough so that I cannot tighten the adjusters any more, they are at their limit. Is there any little adjustment I can make so I can tighten the track enough to get a weekends worth of riding out of it??

I've never heard of a track stretching that much usually there is another cause.
Check for the rails being bent, cracked w arm or other broken parts in the skid.

There is a ton of lugs missing from the outside rows on the track and I'm guessing this is why it has stretched soo much. I really dont think anything is broken and I highly doubt the rails are bent but I will check next week when I go home.

Crank up the torsion springs and center shock to max.

I know I sound like a dumb #*$&@ but what and where are the torsion springs?? We have many slang names for parts on sleds so I will most likely know what your talking about when I know where they are.

My bad, I had assumed that your suspension was a torsion spring setup, but if you have the stock setup, then you have 2 shocks with adjustment springs mounted on them.

My advice is to max out the spring pressures on these shocks in hopes of making the suspension stiffer/taller and hopefully tighten the track tension. However the change in the spring pressures will alter the handling of the sled too, be prepared for that. Also, make sure the limiter strap(s) are fully let out, eg. longest adjustment.

Be careful running that track though. About a month ago in our area, a guy lost his leg because the track let go on his sled while he and his buddy were clearing slush out of the suspension. One was lifting the rear of the sled while the other reved the motor...and snap...twice.

Yeah we never lift the sled and rev her like that. If we are going to do it the sled is tied up in the air and every body stands clear. The only reason I want to try and make the track last for a weekend is because I'm only going to get one weekend to ride the sled this year when I go home next week. Hopefully the summer I will have enough time from school to get new extroverts and put on my other track. I want to make it all one job because I hate the gear box so that's why I'm waiting.
