I used 108 in my 136" with all double backers up the middle. I figured it would better support the longer studs. G.B.

I like a 2-4-2-4 pattern in a 136 but thats more than 108 its more like 162. Thats a lot of hp for 108 studs

The Woody's 108 all double pattern is shaped in a "V" down the center of the track for what it is worth. 108 studs is more than enough in these 3 cylinder sleds. G.B.

going with the stud boy shaper bars. was going to get the bergstroms but that is stretching the budget a lil too far this year. i want a skid plate and the diff in the bars gets me a skid plate.

I have sharper bars on mine, they work awesome, and last decent. The CB just last longer IMO. Which skis are you putting them on. Maxdlx

Go with some type of at least 8" 60 deg carbide with Bergstrom ski savers, as the ski savers really do help prevent ski wear.

I'd go with an 8" carbide also. I'd use more studs for a shorty but it seems like 108 would be good for a 136". Let us know how it works. I agree that double backers keep thing much more rigid.

I would go with either 7.5" Shaper Bars or 8" round bar carbides like mentioned above.
Oh, and be sure to rivet on pieces of old hyfax on the rear cooler protectors if your sled has a rear cooler. The stock rear cooler protectors are not tall enough to prevent 1.325" or taller studs from damaging your cooler.
