just woundering how many stud and what stud pattern i use it on the lake for iceficing and hauling my ice shack off the lake ....

Good luck steering that thing studded. Probably want them about evenly distributed across the whole belt including outside edges for maximum traction and no steering. Typically, putting them just in the center will improve steering at the expense of traction, however, that machine is a tank. More studs = more traction = less steering. Just gotta keep in mind one thing about VK over standard sleds for studding - you're trying to apply your power efficiently rather than ripping the ice to shreds. You probably need a LOT. I don't imagine that the pattern will be too critical for this application, just keep them reasonably staggered.
